So, today was a work day...it's alotta work gathering, transporting and storing grub for a couple of weeks at sea! It's not like we can borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbor to satisfy a sugar craving! Gotta plan ahead. We started out with 2 carts, then 3 and finished with 4 carts of provisions. Then the real challenge came trying to load all this, and 4 crew in the little blue rental car. Uummmmmmm, well it was, shall we say, loaded. Then unloading the car, and loading the boat. We only lost 1 jar of peanuts in the water....it floated, so they were rescued successfully! Got it all tucked away in every nook and cranny, and then went back for the fresh meat we will get to enjoy for the first couple of days. When we finished, the boat was listing a few degrees to starboard....but nobody is going to starv on this voyage! Food, fuel and water on board we set out for a bon voyage dinner. With a good night rest, we plan on getting underway before noon. The weather looks good for the first three days. We should be able to make good time. After that we may hit a patch of lighter air, but we'll see if our on shore meterologists can do something about that.-Lora, Steve
